Painting the View - Constable, Turner, and British Landscape Watercolourists 1760-1860.

This special selection of 31 watercolours is drawn from the period when watercolour painting became established in England and reached its greatest sophistication in the genre of landscape painting. Developed and presented by the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.
The exhibition opens at the Eastern Southland Gallery, Gore on Saturday 4 February and runs until 4 March.
